I am a licensed psychologist specializing in the treatment of adolescents and adults with social, emotional, and behavioral disorders. My primary approach to therapy utilizes behavioral and cognitive behavioral techniques to address the concerns of clients and their families in a developmentally appropriate manner. I take a collaborative approach to therapy, working with each client or family to develop a treatment plan that addresses primary symptoms, as well as the effects those symptoms can have on daily living, social interactions, and emotional well-being.

My areas of specialty include anxiety disorders such as Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Phobias, and Panic Disorder, and Obsessive-Compulsive and Related Disorders (including Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors such as compulsive hair-pulling or skin-picking); and depressive disorders.

With regard to research interests, I have studied the effectiveness of parent training interventions, explored predictors of suicidality in delinquent adolescent girls, and investigated factors that impact treatment outcome among women with a history of abuse. My most recent research endeavors have involved the use of technology to enhance the delivery and effectiveness of mental health services.
